Penny’s Pretties was founded in the summer of 2021 when Penny (then 8) came to her parents with a $530 Christmas wish list. After a conversation with them, they asked “What’s something you could do to make money and buy some of the things on your list yourself?” Penny’s response? “I can make bracelets.” And make bracelets she did. Her parents contacted the local farmers’ market which allowed her to set up a small table. She sold out of her bracelets that first week in under an hour. Since that first weekend, Penny has slowly grown her business to offer a variety of bracelet styles as well as earrings She has participated in events like Art & Stroll, The Big Grass Blue Grass Festival, Get Downtown Festival, and the Harvest Craft Fair. Her hard work and entrepreneurship even earned her a feature in the NEA Premiere magazine last fall. Penny is excited to meet new friends and participate in her biggest event to date!

Inspired by Penny, The Cozy Cottage opened in the summer of 2022. Originally a play on words (the first products sold were cup and ice cream pint cozies), The Cozy Cottage has grown to now encompass all things crochet and knit that help you create a cozy life. From heirloom quality cuddlers, bags, plushies, and yes, even those original cup and ice cream pint cozies, The Cozy Cottage hopes you find something that is one of a kind and can be loved for generations to come.
